Hawaiian Classical Guitar with Ian O’Sullivan

Ian O’Sullivan is a classically-trained guitarist who will perform his various instrumental tunes and discuss his music style. Ian is well-versed in Hawaiian slack-key guitar and the ukulele, in addition to the Western classical repertoire. He is the first guitarist from Hawaii to be accepted to Yale University’s School of Music and has performed at various local and prestigious national music venues.

Program is suitable for all ages. Young children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver. Sponsored by the Friends of the Libraries, Kona. This is a production of the University of Hawaii at Manoa Outreach College’s Statewide Cultural Extension Program with additional funding and support provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, and the University of Hawaii.
